Selection Process
Every week, Elite Care Canada receives hundreds of inquiries from individuals all around the world who want to become caregivers. From this giant pool of candidates, it is the job of Elite Care’s recruiters to select only the best to become part of the Elite Care family and a member of Canada’s top-class of caregivers.
The first step is to avoid last-minute problems by determining eligibility based not only upon the Canadian government’s live-in caregiver program standards, but also the particular regional stipulations of specific Canadian consulates. All caregivers must have extensive training and/or professional work experience as a caregiver.
Next, with nearly three-quarters of the initial candidates eliminated, the remaining are provided with applications to complete and submit for further scrutiny. References, skill sets and training, medical concerns, and official reports are examined closely. Further documentation is requested, including criminal record checks and police reports.
Finally, once a candidate has been determined to be eligible, cleared, and with a strong enough background to be one of Elite Care Canada’s caregivers, they belong to less than 2% of the original number who applied – an elite few for discerning families.
